Check names please
Could all classes and students check the information on the September Participants page? I want to update this page so it reflects only those people who are actually taking part in the challenge. I have already deleted some who have not started the activities or who had given me a wrong URL.
Some classes I don’t know what grade or subject you are because it is not mentioned in your ‘About’ page or equivalent. I have usually left a message in red next to these blogs. I will be checking each class blog this week and if there is no post relating to the blogging challenge activities or the class blog is not linked on your blogroll, then I will be taking your class name off the participant list. All classes should have started now, six weeks into the challenge, especially if you registered early.
Some students might be mentioned more than once on the list because you registered more than once. Perhaps you added extra information when you registered a second time. If you are linked more than once, please leave me a comment telling me which numbers are you so I can delete one of them next week.

Hi,
Please keep us on your list of participants. We are Primary 7 in Scotland, but I am not sure what grade that is the same as. The children are 10-12 years old.
We have completed a few tasks and have links to other participants on our blog. We have not metioned the challenge on our blog though.
Thank you.
Mrs Knott

Can you help with an edublog question while Sue is on Holiday? My uploaded screen shots of events, etc. are randomly replaced with bizarre looking clip art from the web!
How do I fix this problem? Do I need to save/label the screen shot differently before I upload it to the blog? The screen shots are png’s.
Thanks for any help you can provide!

Hi Theresa,
I think Sue has mentioned this in the Edublogs forum and usually the problem is the naming of the images. So I suggest giving specific names to each image rather than just a number etc. Feel free to come back again if this doesn’t work.

Thank you so much for organizing the Blog Challenge. My students have LOVED it, (well most of them at least, but that goes with anything). Most all of my students had no experience with blogging and so it has been fun watching them explore. Many of them just wanted me to give them answers, but alas I would not. They have had to learn how to use the help desk and look at other people’s blogs, which has been a great learning experience.
Thanks!

You sound like me Heather. Giving clues but not answers. I have had the same with a group of grade 8’s at the moment – some are just not prepared to take a risk and try something new but they are slowly getting there.
Once one student knows how to do something like add a widget, they can then be a mentor for the others.

I have a couple of students that may have been deleted for incorrect URLs. They are:
Brett (http://bkleeschulte.blogspot.com)
and
Josh (jinsco.blogspot.com)
Sorry about that! I didn’t go back and check after they registered themselves.

Thank you so much for your efforts in posting the challenge. We are all enjoying it immensely and learning so much. We are struggling to keep up however as we only have class once per week, but we are hanging in there. I had originally planned to do the activities with grades 4 through 8 but perhaps we should just be listed as 6 through 8 as grade 5 class meets on a Monday and we have had some Monday holidays. You can leave us as is or change us to grades 6-8, whichever you think is best.
