We have already begun a “facelift” for our Blog site. We have added a new Challenge09 category with links that we will visit regularly. We are the only class who has a blog on our campus and I have 8 special needs students. We are about to set a precedence and we are pumped!!! Let’s go with it.

    Hi Sue
We are all looking forward to beginning the challenge next month, however we have come across a problem, the NSW DET has blocked student access to edublogs, and thus everytime I want students to access their blog site, I need to log them in under my DET username and password. This is making the blogging process very slow and somewhat tedious.
Did you encounter the same problem in Tasmania?
How did you overcome this problem?

    Hi again
I contacted tech support who told me they would only allow students to view and contribute to nominated sites (not all edublog sites) once I had adhered to a number of conditions, including that only members of the blog may comment on the blog. They have also blocked students from viewing/using voicethread and many photo upload applications. I have been working through internet safety (cyberquoll and cyber cafe) and have talked with students about writing appropriate comments and posts. I will continue to work on the NSW DET and maybe with a bit of pressure and insight they will lift the bans.

How do you link your posts back to Edublogger? I love to get my students involved in this challenge but not sure about that part.
