STUBC08 : the future
Some of the teachers involved in this competition have just had a skype call and decided on the following:
- Create a new blog to carry on the conversations and friendships begun in stubc08.
- Each teacher and their classes to be in charge of the new blog for one or two weeks at a time.
But before we set up this new blog, we want some ideas from you, the participants from 2008.
- What should be the URL for the blog? eg http://wyatt67.edublogs.org is this classblog URL
- What should be the name and tagline for the new blog?
- What theme should the new blog have? eg this blog has Rubric 1.0
Please leave your comments here on this post preferably before Christmas so Miss W. and Sue Waters can get the new blog up and running by January 1st 2009.

i think the name should be Blogging 101 and the tagline should be blogging competition continued. The theme could be… The same as this one!

Hi Ms.Wyatt,
I think the blog should be called “Blogging Together” because every class is going to get a chance to host this blog. The url should probably be something similar to the title so it is easily searched. I am using the blog theme dignity and I really like it. It might be a good blog theme for this blog.

Hi Ms.W I think that a good name for the new stubc08 competiton url could be http://worldwideedublogger.edublogs.org . A title for it could be something like “stubc08 challenge” and the tagline could be “the new student blogging competition”. I don’t know what theme would be best because there are a lot of good themes but I really don’t know because there all so good.

Maybe we could do a theme that everyone likes so like an seasons theme like all the seasons. Fall ,winter,summer and spring and the name could be /tis the seasons/ and the tag could be swfs(summer,winter,fall,spring). and the url could maybe be… http://seasonsallthetime.edublogs.org Ya ok thanks.

Hi Mrs.Wyatt! I think a good name for a blog would be Ultrablog! But really it’s your decision. I just thaught that would be a good name for a blog. I think for a blog theme would be the mandigo globe for a blog like this. Bye!!

I think that the name of the new blog name should be World edubloggers. The reason I think it should be World Edubloggers is because there are people from all over the world.

I think a good blog theme for this new blog is OceanWide, but we could change the banner to something else though. And a good name would be Blogging around the world.

For the URL I think it should be http://blogginginternational.edublogs.org
For the name of the new blog I think it should be Blog Away
The tagline should be Are you ready Lets blog!

Hey Mrs W.! I heard about your problom. You need a new topic for Edgublogs. (I’m in Mrs Smith’s class) Well I have come up with a possible solution. A theme for your new blog could be a picture of your class!!!!!!!!(P.s) you can up-load pic’s from home, and e-mail them to yourselves!!!!

I think the title for the Blog should be “Together we are National” And a good theme should be “Ocean Mist”. And our blog URL should be “http://stubc08.edublogs.org.”

I think the url should be somthing like http://studentfriendship.edublogs.org
“International Writers” should be the tittle and “bringing us together” should be the tag.
And I think Cordobo Green Park would be a good theme.

While appreciating all the other great suggestions, I would like to say that your choices touched me in particular, because you stressed the points I think are essential in stubc08: bringing us together and, within an International horizon, writing in friendship.

I think the blog theme should be the Digg 3 columns.I think the URL should be something like studentblogging.edublogs.org. I think that the tag line should be something like For Students all over the world.

When I started to make an first blog on the never blog,
I was write about drowing and Show pictur about My favorite Comic Book.
And when I started to make an second blog on edublog,
I was writed about Korea. That my first blog name was Drowing MapleStory, And now, My blog’s name is Korea Tour.
I think, Blog title should show other people to What is that blog’s about.
Like I don’t like “…’s blog”. I think “…’s friendship blog” or something will be better.
I’m not sure what is tagline mean, so I can’t commant on your second Q. Sorry. Mayby Blog theme can be… White theme. Pink or somthing color theme just like Children’s blog. And that’s all.

These are all awesome ideas.
1. I think it should be called “Time to Prove Yourself!” as the tagline “A Place to Show your Talents!” the URL being: www. timetoproveyourself.edublogs.org
2. or “Together As A Team” the tagline being” It’s Not About Winning, But Working Together!” the URL being: http://www.togetheras1.edublogs.org (That might be a good title too?)
3.or maybe even “All for One and One for All!” the tagline being “A Place Where We Can All Come together To have Fun!”. the URL being: http://www.allfor1.edublogs.org
I’m just giving ideas off the top of my head!
All these titles bring us all together and make others know that they have the opportunity to prove themselves and should give it a go! They attract visitors too. Can’t wait to find out what you choose! Whatever you select will be a great title!

We will probably start in mid January to get names for the next challenge in 2009. It takes a few weeks to get things set up but keep watching this blog or my personal blog http://tasteach.edublogs.org or the Edublogger as we will advertise the challenge in each of those blogs.
