Ideas for the student blogging competition
Over on the right of my blog you will find a new page with some ideas that have already been sent to me for activities in the student blogging challenge. Feel free to add more ideas there as a comment and by 21st September, I will have the first set of activities published as a post.
All posts about the competition will now have stubc08 in the tags and as a category, so if you use Technorati, you will be able to find the posts. It would be easier though to look through the categories in my blogroll. If any teachers or students write posts about the competition, could they also use this as a tag and category. Please make sure the 08 is zero eight not the letter ‘o’.
Ines is translating the posts into Portuguese to put on her blog so her students can also participate in both English and Portuguese.
Sue Waters and I are working on a way to keep tab of the comments made by students, that will be simple for young students to follow and easy for teachers to keep a check on. One way would be for students to type their comments in a single word document and save this each time. They can copy and paste into comment boxes from a word document. This document might be able to be used at the end to create a Wordle for each student to see what words they used most often in their comments.
